Birthday Love and Leaving NC

Well Wednesday was my birthday, so I'm officially 22!  I feel like I'm 83 though...my friend, Brooke says that it's because I have an old soul, which I guess is pretty accurate.  Everyone has always said that I am mature beyond my years (for the most part) and for God's sake, I knit, crochet, sew, all that stuff that only grandmas are supposed to do, and I thoroughly enjoy it.  :P

My aunt and I are embarking on our 6 day journey to Washington State on Sunday (yes, the day after tomorrow), and I haven't even begun to pack AND I'm getting sick...so this should be interesting to say the least.  If I'm not feeling better though, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to get some medicine before we leave. My cousin's wedding is the 28th and I don't want to be puffy or looking awful for that, after all, pictures last FOREVER.  Speaking of which, I got a schnazzy new dress for said occasion and I'm pretty excited about it...which, if you know me, DOES NOT happen when dresses are involved, but I really like this one.  I was tempted to buy heels to go with it, since the dress is about knee length and would look killer with heels...but again, if you know me, you know it's not a good idea for me to be more elevated than I naturally am for any reason, I tend to just fall over..so I opted for a new pair of flats instead.
I'm soooo ridiculously excited to see my mom's side of the family! I haven't seen them in YEARS! My cousin has a new baby and a ton of things have changed, so I'm just tickled that this all worked out and I get to be there!

I've been working on a couple of projects, but they are not post-able for a while due to the fact that they are a surprise for my best friend and her little girl (who just turned the big #1!!!) and I don't want her seeing what I'm doing (if she is in fact reading this).  But trust me, they're both pretty cool!!  I'll be excited to post them, however, I'm still deciding if I'm going to add them to STLC....they're a lot of work.... hmmm...

So this is probably my last post for a couple of weeks until I get back, I don't think I'm going to take my computer with me... no real reason for it...but with me, I'll probably decide at the last moment to stuff it in my backpack. haha

hey hi hello!

There's a lot I want to do here with Skye's the Limit Charms, moreover, this blog is going to be a kind of journal for my (mis)adventures in arts and crafts, and the all over insanity that is my life.

I hope this leads to greater inspiration within myself, and possibly in others, but more than that, I just want a way to look back and see what I've done, and how silly I was with one year of college left to go.

So here I am, one week shy of a 22 year old college student, ready to conquer the world and find inspiration, motivation, creativity, and love.  Should be a semi-interesting ride...but only time will tell, after all, The Skye's the Limit.
